Ercros participated in the Conference of the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) at the International Energy and Environment Fair, Genera 2024, with a presentation about the application of the emerging technologies for energy saving in the company's chlorine and caustic soda electrolysis plants.

The presentation focused on three recently implemented projects: the migration to Gap Zero technology, much more efficient in the energy consumption of electrolysis; the replacement of natural gas with electricity, through the recompression of vapours in the brine recovery plant; and the modernisation of the power supply. The presentation was given by Francisco España, manager of the chlorine derivatives division, and Francisco Gracia, head of R&D for Ercros' basic chemicals business.

Ercros' participation in this event demonstrates its commitment to the application of innovation to advance the company's sustainability.

The Genera fair is the main commercial platform for the energy industry and is supported by the IDAE, part of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
