Elena Simón participates in a discussion on equality as part of the 8M events

Elena Simón, director of the Ercros factory in Sabiñánigo, participated in the discussion “Sharing spaces: talent has no labels,” organized by the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of the Province of Huesca and the Association of Business Owners of Alto Gállego. The event was part of the activities promoted by the Sabiñánigo City Council to commemorate International Women's Day.
The session, recorded live and open to the public, was held at the Periel Mill and broadcast as part of the "Hoy por hoy" program on Cadena SER Pirineos. Along with Elena Simón, the discussion featured prominent women from the business and social spheres of Alto Aragón: Avelina Bellostas, president of CEOE Cepyme Huesca; Rosa Avellanet, livestock farmer, biologist, and animal production technician; and Isabel Bandrés, owner of Panificadora San Nicolás bakery.
During the conversation, topics such as work-life balance, entrepreneurship, training, and the importance of retaining population through job creation were discussed. The participants agreed with Elena Simón's reflection, who pointed out that "work-life balance and equality are everyone's issues, both men and women, and progress cannot be made unless we work together." Simón also highlighted that, currently, 15% of the workforce at the Sabiñánigo factory is female, a proportion that, although still low, is growing year after year.
