Sustainable energy management
The Almussafes, Aranjuez, Sabiñánigo, Tarragona, Tortosa, Vila-seca I and Vila-seca II factories have defined their energy management system in accordance with the UNE-EN-ISO 50001:2018 standard. The rest of the Ercros production facilities are in the process of accreditation according to this standard and we expect that they will soon obtain this certification.
The objective of this standard is to enable continuous improvement in energy efficiency, energy safety, energy use and energy consumption. Certification of compliance is renewed every three years, following an audit by an external certifying company.
Current certifications have been issued by Aenor Internacional (the Spanish association for standardisation and certification) and by IQNet (the international certification body that brings together the main certifying bodies in different countries).
